This is a long and difficult game so sub-1 hour was cool. If you know this game (which I hope a few of you do, it was reasonably popular in its day) then this is a very nice time. I managed to save some nice time on my first version (the test run) and finished comfortably under 55 minutes. Technically it's considerably more optimised (due to some nice techniques, see below) and for the most part more entertaining. Looking over the movie I like this more than the run of its predecesor. Eventually I got so far into it that a few months ago I decided to take it all the way. This has been a strange project for me I recorded a test run over a year ago and just picked it up every couple of weeks and TASed for a few hours. Originally, I felt I should make an improvement of my Gex 64 run, but to be honest I only had enough motivation for one more Gex movie and I really wanted to do this. The gameplay is non-linear, the player can choose from multiple routes and goals on each level, and are replayable anytime after accomplished. So, a new Gex submission from me. Gex can tailwhip or karate-kick his enemies, climb certain walls and ceilings, eat bugs for power-ups, and spout one-liner wisecrack jokes. Gex has to enter levels through TVs to collect three types of remote controls in order to unlock more of the Media Dimension, boss levels and secret TVs. The game generally resolves around a James Bondish spy theme, but the story is not referenced later in the game. ![]() He gets a lot of money and an agent suit for that. ![]() ![]() Rez, the evil overlord of the television is back into the Media Dimension, and the government asks the TV addict gecko, Gex, to defeat him once again. Gex 3D: Enter the Gecko is a 3D platform game where the player controls a gecko who has to navigate several levels, all of which are parodies on well-known TV shows and movies, such as Looney Tunes, Gilligan's Island, or Friday the 13th.
